One year anniversary!
On October 27, 2025, our webshop www.cimoon.se turned one year old, and we celebrated by upgrading from the Dawn theme to Horizon. We decided on Friday that we would switch and rebuild it this weekend. Normally, we are much more process-driven and pre-documented before doing something like this.
Why did we switch?
It's not entirely easy to explain why we switched so suddenly, but much of it was because the Infinite-scrolling solution in Dawn was pretty bad. And we really like the ability to scroll through items, especially now that we have over 1,000 items in the store.
Then it was a challenge to build a Horizon store; there aren't many Shopify-Horizon stores in Sweden, so we got started. We created a new Trello board for the project, Kanban-style plus moodboards, sections, blocks, pages. Cina ordered, I delivered, she approved or returned with suggestions for improvement. We already had a graphic profile since we had been running Dawn for a year.

Since it's Black Week, I thought I'd write something here on the blog, as the one who has the honor of working with the technology here. In addition to working with cimoon.se, I work as an IT consultant.
